Lluís Sánchez Seuba, from Manresa, is the new president of the AMPANS Foundation after having accepted the proposal made by the Board of Trustees to preside over the highest decision-making body of the foundation.

Lluís Sánchez Seuba has been linked to AMPANS as a member of the Board of Trustees since 1992 and as a father of a person who uses the services of the entity. In the professional field, he was linked for more than 30 years to Hayes Lemmerz, as maintenance manager, and founded the company MEBSA Montajes Eléctricos.

Lluís Sánchez took over the presidency at the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the AMPANS Foundation held at the end of the year. “I joined AMPANS more than 30 years ago. It was brought to me by the fact that I had a son with cerebral palsy. As a father, I have been able to experience the importance of the work that this organisation does for people with special needs and their families. I have been committed from day one and now I hope to continue contributing, accompanying the great team of professionals who work here.

Sánchez thanked the commitment of the outgoing president, Sebastià Catllà, who will continue to be linked to the entity as patron of the AMPANS foundation. Lluís Sánchez Seuba will be accompanied on the Board of Trustees by: Sílvia Gratacòs i González, who continues as the organisation’s vice-president, Josep Maria Boldú i Clos, Albert Giralt i Cadevall, Carlota Riera i Claret, Clara Puigventós i Gusi, Rosa Campobadal i Molina, Maria Mercè Jubany i Herms, Jordi Vila i Oliva, Fèlix Noguera i Carrillo , and the former presidents Baltasar Corrons i Graells, Jaume Espinal i Farré, Domènec Casasayas i Serra, and Sebastià Catllà i Calvet himself.

The new presidency will prioritise the fight to reduce waiting lists and the recognition of professionals in the sector. It will also be key to continue promoting technology in favour of people with special needs, and the growth of employment opportunities in the field of labour economy, as well as the dissemination of the AMPANS project that in 2025 will celebrate 60 years by the side of people with intellectual disabilities.
