Supporting people with intellectual disabilities and those in need of support, as well as managing an organization like ours, have allowed us to acquire knowledge that we want to share with professionals, organizations and organizations in the social sector. We want to grow together.
Our journey in supporting people with intellectual disabilities, with mental illness and in situations of vulnerability, has allowed us to develop learning resources and training proposals for education professionals and for other educational and social centers and attention to diversity.
We are Special Education Center and Services and Resources for the Inclusion Provider part of Departament d’Ensenyament. We develop programs and services to support the schooling of students with special educational needs in ordinary schools.
In alliance with Althaia, we organize the State Congress on Alterations of Behavior every two years, which brings together outstanding notional and international specialists to provide knowledge to health and care professionals. It encourages innovation and research, looking for answers to the needs of people who have behavioral changes in childhood, adolescence and adulthood.
Together with Althaia, we promote the Postgraduate course on mental illness and behavioral disorders in people with intellectual disabilities, which is being developed at the University of Vic - Universitat Central de Catalunya. A postgraduate degree born out of the need to fill an existing gap in specific training for professionals in the sector.
Through the Inclusion Support Services program, we advise, train and support public and community services to make accessible all those essential communicative elements to facilitate understanding for users who have cognitive or language comprehension difficulties for different reasons.
Learning together is an inclusive educational project born from the activities of AMPANS aimed to the users who participate in the Occupational Center service. In its origin, it was an activity of making recycled paper, a technique developed by the users themselves, within the organization's program of activities.
