It is a specific social service for people with mental health disorders. The aim is to help the people assisted to acquire the necessary skills to increase their level of employability and facilitate their employment. The service foresees a permanence of the user for a maximum duration of 3 years.
The Pre-employment Service carries out a furniture restoration workshop as one of the main activities through which they work on all the rehabilitative aspects for the socio-employment inclusion of people with mental health disorders. This pre-employment workshop develops a project to recover furniture and wooden items that end up in landfills, and transforms them into auxiliary furniture and unique design items. In this way, with this circular economy philosophy project, we promote autonomy and the capacity for socio-labor insertion. Crafting furniture gives participants tools to learn the profession of carpentry; while promoting responsible consumption and highlighting the importance of waste prevention and extending the useful life of furniture, in accordance with the principles of respect for the environment.
