Multisensory Room for Children and Adolescents with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism

Help us build spaces that produce well-being, safety, and trust.

There are spaces specially designed to provide pleasant sensory stimuli that produce well-being, safety, and trust… These spaces reproduce stimuli suitable for the users and allow control, for example, of light, temperature, sound… These spaces are especially beneficial for people with intellectual disabilities with extensive and generalized support needs, and are very relevant because they help their physical, personal, sensory and emotional well-being. Building this multisensory space is a challenge for us, and to make it a reality, we need your support to raise donations so that together we can improve the quality of life of children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, autism, and other needs. Will you collaborate with us? Make a donation!

The multisensory room will be located in the “Els Companys” residence and school, a facility that serves children and adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18 with severe intellectual disabilities and autism.

The multisensory room for well-being is a space designed with great flexibility and adaptability, with resources and materials that adapt to each user's situation. Through these spaces, the children and youth in this specialized service can interact with their environment through their senses and sensations, as a source of knowledge and experimentation of everything around us. The goal is to work on stimulation, sensations, and communication with oneself and the environment, facilitating very significant moments of well-being, relaxation, and trust, factors that contribute to an improvement in the quality of life of the child or adolescent.
