II Adapted Children's Race

A children's race with no age limit, non-competitive and adapted, which will be the main event of this festive morning with activities, sensory workshops and shows for the whole family.

Race Rules

On Saturday 20 May we held the second Manresa adapted children’s race. AMPANS, Ajuntament de Manresa and Escola Montserrat organised this event jointly, with the aim of promoting sport and raising awareness of people with functional diversity. We have the collaboration of UManresa, CRTEA and “la Caixa” Foundation.

The race will facilitate physical and cognitive accessibility, as well as the possibility of anticipating and structuring the activity. Throughout the morning there will be activities, sensory workshops and family shows.

  1. The event will take place on Saturday 20 May 2023, at the Espai FUB 4, on Avinguda Universitària in Manresa. The event will start at 9:30 am and the first race will be at 10 am.
  1. Participants must be at the race venue 15 minutes before their race in order to receive their race bibs and the appropriate instructions.
  1. The race is open to all children with functional diversity.
  1. Children will participate by age, regardless of their abilities or the necessary supports for their participation.
  1. The race will be linear and without gradient, with distances of 20, 40 and 70 metres.
  1. The race is non-competitive between participants. At the end of each race, each participant will receive a T-shirt and a medal.
  1. There is no maximum time to finish the course and at any time it will be possible to abandon the race if desired.
  1. It is possible to choose to participate in a time slot with less sound stimuli.
  1. You may choose whether or not to wear a race bib.
  1. A quiet space will be provided to ensure the comfort of the participants during the activity.
  1. Services such as parking and adapted toilets will be provided.

  1. In order to facilitate the organisation, a maximum of 80 places will be available. The deadline for registration is Thursday 4 May.
