Last night Jenny Cabanillas, Barça Foundation player, received the Special Olympic award at the 52nd edition of the Manresa Sportsperson’s Night. The traditional awards ceremony, which coincides with the start of the season of many sports competitions, was held once again at the Kursaal theatre and was attended by the mayor of Manresa, Marc Aloy, and the director of the Catalan Sports Council, Vicenç Villatoro.
Jenny Cabanillas, who will be 22 years old on November 26, has been a Barça Genuine Foundation footballer since the birth of this team in the 2021/22 season, representing our foundation, which has been part of this Barça project since the beginning.
The patron of the Barça Foundation, Josep Puigdollers, the head of the Barça Genuine Foundation team, Miquel Puig, the president of AMPANS, Sebastià Catllà and the director of the entity, Toni Espinal, showed their support to the player, along with a large group of teammates, including the also from Barcelona, Pablo Sánchez, on a very special night for her. Gemma Vilaseca, member of the jury and former professional basketball player, presented the award.
