We have improved comfort, safety and accessibility with the addition of 4 new adapted vehicles

En la incorporación de uno de los vehículos hemos contado con el apoyo de la Fundación “la Caixa”

“la Caixa” Foundation, through CaixaBank, has contributed to the AMPANS Foundation for the purchase of an adapted transport van, destined for the daily activities of the organisation’s users. It is a vehicle adapted for people with reduced mobility that will be used to provide transport service to users of the Julio Payás day centre and residence, in the community activities scheduled on a daily basis, such as sports and therapeutic activities (hydrotherapy, physical maintenance or swimming, among others), and leisure and free time activities (outings, camps or visits).

It is a 9-seater van that can accommodate up to 4 wheelchairs, with more advanced safety systems, with an electric lifting ramp and an automatic step that is activated when the door is opened, facilitating access to the vehicle. The aim of the renovation of the vehicle fleet is to make it more comfortable for users, while facilitating the work of professionals in direct care and improving efficiency to reduce the impact on the environment.

The delivery of the vehicle, with the relevant adaptations for transporting people with mobility difficulties, took place during a visit by the regional director of CaixaBank, Josep Maria González, to the AMPANS facilities in Santa Maria de Comabella (Santpedor).

The delivery of this vehicle is not the end of the fleet renewal. We have replaced 3 more transport vans with new ones, which will serve the Els Comtals (Manresa) and La Colònia (Súria) residences, and one for the Jeroni de Moragas school (Santpedor).
