The women’s basketball team from Loyola Maryland University visited us

Loyola Maryland meeting in Comabella

Hours before the friendly match at the Nou Congost, the team spent time with boys and girls from the foundation, organising games and activities.

Thirty players from Loyola Maryland, a women’s college basketball team from the university Baltimore (Maryland, United States), visited the AMPANS Foundation and organised a programme of activities and games for the boys and girls of the organisation.

The team, which is touring Europe, has visited Manresa, given the links of this university of the Society of Jesus with the city of San Ignacio de Loyola, and had been chosen to play a game with the Manresa Women’s Basketball Club. The American team has in its ranks the Manresa player Marta Espinal, a former player of the Manresa club who is doing her university studies in the USA.

Among the programme of activities, they have dedicated a day to getting to know our organisation and organising activities and games to share with people assisted at AMPANS. From basketball games and exhibitions, to tests to test the skills with the ball, with the aim of sharing a leisure and sporting time.
