The AMPANS Occupational Centre was in charge of the opening speech of the festivities with the show “Junts fem comunitat“.
Representatives of the families, the community and the users of the AMPANS Occupational Centre addressed the audience to explain and thank them for the work they carry out at the centre, which has become “a home for everyone”.
They highlighted the bond that the boys and girls create with the town, because they share conversations and laughter with the neighbours; “the activities of the centre are like a gift”.
After the speeches, an emotional show took place with the collaboration of the EMM Cal Moliner.
The users were the main characters, who used luminous objects, boxes, drums and other instrumental elements to tell their story, a story based on values such as respect, commitment and friendship.
Mayor Oriol Ribalta took the floor to thank them for their work and also to formally open the festivities. In his words, “Sallent is a welcoming town that has always stood out for being the cradle of all kinds of people, from different origins and different realities”.
Finally there were some brief fireworks and the Esvalotada began, with the Dimoni de Sallent accompanied by his secretaries and with the collaboration of the Esbart Vila de Sallent, els Gegants i Nans de Sallent and the EMM Cal Moliner.
