5th edition of the Insert Award – CLAM Festival 2024

The award recognises short fiction, animation or documentary films produced by teams with people with intellectual disabilities and mental illness.

The AMPANS Foundation announces the Insert Award 2024, an award aimed at recognising short films created by people with intellectual disabilities or mental illness. The works can be fiction, animation or documentary, with themes that promote inclusion and social awareness. The prize will be awarded within the framework of the CLAM Festival, International Festival of Social Cinema of Catalonia, and is endowed with 500 euros and a handmade mosaic as a trophy. The deadline for nominations is October 18th 2024.

The aim of the Premi Insert is to make the creative talent and expressive potential of these groups visible, promoting inclusion through art and film. This award has established itself as a reference platform to give voice to stories, experiences and realities that are often invisible to the eyes of society.

Rules of the award

Short films of up to 20 minutes maximum length, produced between 2022 and 2024, are eligible to participate. The works can belong to any audiovisual genre: fiction, animation or documentary, but always with the condition that the project has been made by teams with the involvement, at least fifty percent, of people with intellectual disabilities and/or mental illness.
