With a short film noir fiction, the Ripoll foundation wins the award for the second consecutive year
AMPANS has awarded the IV Insert Prize for audiovisual creation by people with diverse abilities, which it awards within the CLAM, International Festival of Social Cinema of Catalonia, at the awards gala held this weekend in Manresa, with guests such as the director and actress Sílvia Munt and the journalist, presenter and film critic, Àlex Gorina.
The MAP Foundation, from Ripoll, which supports people with intellectual disabilities, won the award for the second year in a row for its work “Plan imperfecto”. The Insert Award is endowed with an economic contribution of 500 euros and a mosaic piece of great artistic value made at L’Encaix occupational centre, which supports people with intellectual disabilities, of the AMPANS foundation.
The jury, in this edition formed by Silvia Sanfeliu, playwright, scriptwriter, director and theatre actress, Rosa Maria Ortega, pedagogue, composer and pianist, Joan Barbé, journalist and member of the CLAM organisation, Dolors Garzón, educator and theatre actress, and Lara Bedmar, graphic designer and illustrator, unanimously valued the ironic and humorous treatment of traditional film noir canons, with a very diverse and inclusive artistic and technical team in the disability sector. From all the works submitted from all over Spain, the winner was chosen from among six finalists, taking into account not only the cinematographic treatment, but also the social message and the values of reflection, vindication and inclusion.
The rules of the Award specify that at least half of the production team must be made up of people with functional diversity in order to support talent, creativity and artistic expression in audiovisual format. The award aims to promote film and audiovisual arts as working tools for active inclusion and the transmission of values and rights.
The award, which is part of the winners list of the CLAM Festival nineteenth edition, is sponsored by Teixits Forés, and is presented annually at the official CLAM awards gala.
