AMPANS hired six unemployed and vulnerable people through the Employment and Training Programme

AMPANS hired six unemployed and particularly vulnerable people through the Employment and Training Programme, which aims to facilitate access to the labour market. It does so through the support of social entities that, like AMPANS, carry out work experience, training, coordination and technical support actions for the participants.

The Programme, which receives funding from the REACT EU fund, provides a 12-month employment contract, during which the person receives training and support to achieve a stable employment situation.

Maria Renne, thanks to this programme, has found a job and a one-year employment contract, she came to AMPANS through the Employment and Training Programme. Thanks to this programme she was able to join the Canonge restaurant as a member of the dining room team. Within the framework of the programme, Maria, like her colleagues, receives support in various areas, both in training and administrative tasks.

Like Maria Renne, there are 5 other people who participate in this programme and are working with a one-year contract in various labour services promoted by the entity. Four of them are in the process of obtaining a residence and employment permit. They are part of the Industrial Services, Industrial Cleaning Service and the AMPANS Foundation’s own maintenance services teams.

The 6 participants recieve support for their transition to the ordinary labour market and they have an employment contract. They combine working hours with training hours in different areas such as social skills, communication and conflict resolution, and training in basic digital skills. The programme includes recruitment actions in the entity’s employment services, transversal training and support and guidance adapted to each person needs.

Marta Milian, head of the Multidisciplinary Support Team (MST) of the AMPANS foundation, highlights the facilities that the programme provides for the beneficiaries. “These work experience and training actions allow the participants to recieve support by our technical and support staff, and is a good resource for their social and labour integration”.

For Maria Renne and Mohamed Lardi, two of the participants, the support they are receiving is a great help and they hope to continue working to stabilise their employment and social situation.
