Commited to environmental protection since the beginning 

The history of AMPANS has always been commited to the protection of the environment, being one of the pioneering entities to initiate the recycling of glass and paper in the seventies. In 1973, one of the most mythical and emblematic campaigns of AMPANS began, the bottle and paper collection. A solidarity campaign to raise funds to promote and maintain the services for people with intellectual disabilities in which thousands of volunteers participated during the 25 years.

In 2000, the waste collection service was professionalised and the management of the first clean points in the Bages region began. In 2001, the Manresa Waste Disposal Service was incorporated by public tender and new environmental work activities were started, such as the management of the Selective Collection service in the Bages region.

Continuous work as a form of social insertion and integration


AMPANS has been, since the beginning, aware of the protection of the environment, becoming one of the pioneers of environmentalism with the promotion of the Ampolla and Paper campaign started in 1973.

On 31/08/2006 AMPANS MEDI AMBIENT, S.L.U., a company wholly owned by Fundació AMPANS, was constituted for the management and provision of environmental services, selective waste collection and transport, the management of green points and the management of recycling and waste selection plants.
