Speakers at the Behavioural Disorders National Conference

The Behavioural Disorders National Conference count on top-level international speakers. Specialists in learning and education, autism and intellectual and developmental disabilities. Also leading experts in psychiatry, psychology, neuropsychology, psychopedagogy, early intervention and special education, among other disciplines.

Susanna Esteba

Graduate in Psychology from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), PhD in Psychiatry and Medical Psychology (UAB), Master's degree in Neuropsychology and Neurology of Behaviour (UAB) and postgraduate degree in Neuropsychology and Neurology of Child Behaviour (UAB).

Her healthcare work has been developed, firstly, in the field of psychogeriatrics and, subsequently, in the field of intellectual development disorders.

Jeanne M. Farr

Currently CEO of NDAA, member of several non-profit boards and advisory committees, former chair of NADSP and Ripple Effects Images board.

Most recently worked at the National Mental Health and Intellectual Disability Training Center.

Laura Garrido

Laura Garrido Marijuán, graduate in Psychology from UAM,2004. Master’s in clinical psychology at Itema 2006.

Postgraduate in mental illness and behavioural disorders UIC, 2015 and BTEC Professional Diploma in ACP level 5 NHS, 2018-2020.

Specialised in supporting people with behaviours that concern us and people with high support needs.

Nick Gore

Nick is a clinical psychologist, senior lecturer, and researcher at the University Tizard Centre in Kent.

His work focuses on supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, along with their families and teams of support staff.

Biza Kroese

Biza Stenfert Kroese is a Senior Lecturer in Clinical Psychology at the University of Birmingham.

She is responsible for clinical psychology services for people with disabilities at NHS Dudley Priority Health.

Ramon Novell

Graduate in medicine from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and specialist in psychiatry.

He has developed his healthcare work in the field of general adult psychiatry, psychogeriatrics and psychiatry of people with intellectual disabilities.

John Rose

John Rose is a clinical psychologist specialising in people with intellectual disabilities.

At the University of Birmingham, he studies the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioural interventions for people with intellectual disabilities who display sexually offending behaviour.

Agenda of the last edition

The Conference organisers defined a programme to address and share knowledge on how to identify and meet the mental health and behavioural needs of people with highly complex intellectual disabilities through psychological therapies.
