One third of people with intellectual disabilities have behavioural disorders associated with disability and/or mental illness. Behavioural disorders are one of the main challenges that professionals and services that support people have to face.
The organisers of the Conference have defined a programme to address and share knowledge from all areas of intervention, health, direct care and teaching, on concepts, models, planning, interventions and techniques that improve the quality of life of people with behavioural disorders.
More than 600 people, professionals from the fields of health, direct care and education attended the last edition of the conference. The aim of the conference was to identify and meet the mental health and behavioural needs of people with highly complex intellectual disabilities through psychological therapies.
